City of Glass

We returned to the City of Shell, and were rather surprised to find that the kuo-toa Cheleth had teleported back there had not been seen. All v. mysterious, since am assured Cheleth's teleportation spells are 100% reliable. Argument followed over whether we should stop to look for him, or head off to the City of Glass.
CHELETH: "I got him out of danger. Possibly into a different danger."
Eventually we agreed that I would scry to see whether he was (a) safe, in which case we need not search for him, (b) dead, in which case ditto, or (c) neither, in which case we could continue the argument. As it turned out, he was alive but somewhere completely dark, which is unusual on the Plane of Water. Unfortunately, with no directional information, we had no idea where to look for him, and the search area would have been colossal; Heironeous did not deign to shed any light on the subject to his erstwhile followers, and so there was nothing we could do for the little fellow. The marids were rather annoyed at the loss of a valuable worker, and so we deemed it time to leave for the City of Glass.
( In which Our Heroes visit a City of Glass. What could possibly go wrong? )
By the way - those of you who enjoyed the Legolas Fellowship but were disappointed at the recent production's omission of the songs, rejoice! Legolas may be seen performing one of them here!
