Better Gnomes and Gardens

Readers will remember that when I last wrote, we had just fought our way through my parents' garden, with Neil and others managing to do serious damage to their house, and found the apparent source of its contamination: a deep hole, radiating strong evil, where the moon-ivy had been growing.

Having dealt with the immediate threat, some of the party wanted to leave this for later while we dealt with the snake-men north of the city. However, I pointed out that we were, supposedly, searching for three important magical items, all likely to radiate evil, one of them last seen in the possession of an erinyes (one of the rope-devils) in caves under the city, and they agreed to investigate.
